Jess Grant, Aquatic Ecologist

Jessy has a Masters in Environmental Conservation and has over thirteen years’ experience as an aquatic ecologist. Jessy worked in the Environmental Monitoring Team of the Environment Agency, Thames Region, for ten years before moving to Wiltshire in 2013. Since her move Jessy has worked as a Senior Aquatic Ecologist for two small consultancies based in Salisbury and has also worked as a freelance aquatic ecologist.
Jessy is specialised in aquatic survey, analysis and reporting and is experienced in macroinvertebrate, macrophyte, diatom, cyanobacteria, river habitat, lake habitat and river corridor survey. Jessy has project managed many aquatic surveys, including a recent investigation focusing on Invasive Non Native Species in Chew Valley and Blagdon Lakes, near Bristol. Jessy has a passion for rivers.
Jessy joins BART to play a role as Aquatic Ecologist and Project Manager but like all Rivers Trust people will be happy to help on any project at any level when it helps the team.
