Eleanor grew up on her family’s arable farm in the Chew Valley, where she developed a love
of agriculture and an appreciation for the environment. Her passion for sustainable farming
practices led her to implement initiatives such as replanting sparse hedgerows and
encouraging the adoption of sustainable farming incentive schemes on the farm.
Her interest in the relationship between farming and the environment inspired Eleanor to
pursue a BSc in Geography, with her dissertation centered on agricultural diffuse pollution in
the Avon catchment, equipping her with valuable insights into the challenges that this
creates.
As a recent graduate, she looks forward to getting involved in helping navigate the complex
challenges of modern farming, and implementing practices that support both agriculture and
environmental sustainability.
