As of November 2016, BART are excited to announce that we have reached a milestone of £500,000 for river restoration and education works throughout the Bristol Avon Catchment.
We realise this is a small milestone compared to the astonishing efforts of some larger Rivers Trusts and Wildlife Trusts who have been around longer but we are never-the-less very proud to be making an increasing contribution towards the protection and improvement of the rivers in our catchment. We believe our in kind contributions over the last five years would add many thousands to this figure too reflecting the immense support that Trusts achieve through others.
So, a huge thanks to our supporters with a very special mention to the Environment Agency and Wessex Water who have been so supportive over the last five years despite the enormous challenges they face meeting their own objectives.
We are setting ourselves a target to increase this contribution to £1 million pounds by 2020 – hopefully well before then too.
