Trout in the Trym is a project which works to improve the health of the River Trym. With the Trym’s ecology restored, the hope is that a healthy trout population will return.
A number of organisations work together for the Trout in the Trym project. One of them is SusWoT (Sustainable Westbury on Trym), who organise regular litter picks in and around the river.
They have removed (literally!) tonnes of rubbish in the last few years, but there is plenty more work to do. If you are interested in helping out, they would love to hear from you.
Through this winter they are out Fridays from 10am to 12pm and Sundays from 11am to 1pm. Email suswot2050@gmail.com to find out more details.
You can also visit the Trout in the Trym website here and the SusWoT website here.
Thank you SusWoT and all the volunteers who are helping restore the Trym.
