Jacob - headshot

Jacob holds a BA in Geography, focusing on human-environment interactions, going on to attain an MSc Land and Ecological Restoration in which he developed his knowledge of restoration theory, surveying, monitoring and practices for a variety of ecosystems. He is particularly interested in landscape-scale restoration and the roles keystone species play in creating and sustaining the health of wetlands.

Before working for BART, Jacob worked and volunteered for a number of environmental organisations and conservation projects in roles ranging from bat surveying, physical site work and science communication. These experiences have given him a well-rounded understanding of various aspects of the restoration process and inspired him to continue positively working to help restore our rivers and wetlands for the benefit of nature and people
