Lauren Baxter2

Lauren has a Masters in River Environments and their Management, achieved following a BSc in Environmental Geoscience. Her Masters had a strong focus on her passions: applied river restoration and geomorphology.

Following her studies, and time working in consultancy, Lauren spent several years working for the Environment Agency (EA), as a Geomorphology Technical Advisor, for Kent, South, London and East Sussex. There she provided geomorphological technical advice and guidance to a wide spectrum of infrastructure, restoration and natural flood management proposals, to ensure plans worked in accordance with natural processes. She further managed and assisted others with in-house project delivery, which included volunteer co-ordination, technical restoration design and landowner engagement.

Lauren is ambitious and is excited to further strengthen collaborative working relationships with our local partners to develop and deliver projects within the Bristol Avon Catchment. As one of our Project Managers she runs many of our projects from the initial planning stage through to funding and delivery.
