Richard is a biologist with a PhD from the University of Dundee. He worked for 22 years in the UK Electricity Industry on a wide variety of projects aimed at understanding and mitigating the effects of electricity generation on the environment.
In 1999, he joined the Department of Geography and Environmental Science at the
University of Reading as Research Professor, working mostly on modelling and monitoring water quality, and teaching a range of environmental topics. He retired in
2018 and is looking forward to working with BART as a trustee.
