Join BART on a bespoke Corporate Enrichment Day to help deliver meaningful change and create a long-lasting legacy for the rivers and streams of the Bristol Avon. Your team could work towards achieving your business’s sustainability targets while working in beautiful natural environments – or those in need of some TLC – to protect, restore and enhance our waterways for people and for wildlife.
BART’s Corporate Enrichment Days are offered throughout a range of locations in Bristol, Bath, North Somerset, Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire and are led by experienced staff who will ensure that you get the most out of the event while delivering the maximum benefit to our river environments. These are just some of the experiences your team could get involved in:
- River litter clean
- Controlling invasive weeds
- Tree planting & maintenance
- River & river corridor restoration
- Yellow Fish Public Awareness Event
We would be pleased to create a bespoke experience for your team so please get in touch to discuss your requirements.

Our Corporate Enrichment Days provide the perfect platform to get your team out of the office and onto the riverbank where they will experience unique, environment-related activities, specifically designed with your interests in mind. The benefits of joining BART include:
- Re-charge & re-energise your team
- Re-connect with the environment and indulge in nature for the day
- Contribute towards the conservation of the region’s waterways
- Think creatively and deliver as a team
- Gain new, transferable skills
- Knowledgeable & experienced BART staff will lead your event
Depending on the activity, prices start from £600 for small corporate groups. Please contact us for more information.
As a charity, BART need to ensure the costs of delivering a meaningful, enjoyable and safe activity for your team are covered. Our bespoke events require a lot of careful planning, including obtaining permissions to access the river and in some cases securing permits to undertake specific types of work, purchasing materials and to cover the time of our experienced paid staff to deliver the event.
By taking part in a Corporate Enrichment Day, you will be helping us to deliver for nature, contributing towards our charitable objectives and in many instances carry out activities which BART would otherwise be unable to undertake due to our limited resource.
We will provide you with guidance on what to bring and wear depending on the activity you will be carrying out. As a general rule we recommend bringing the following:
- Drinking water
- Packed lunch
- Necessary medication (including instructions to the activity leader)
- Your own work gloves if you have them
We recommend wearing the following:
- Outdoor clothes suitable for the weather on the day
- Outdoor footwear depending on the terrain and ground conditions. Walking boots or wellies are recommended.
- Waterproofs
- Sun protection
As the majority of our activities take place in remote outdoor locations, facilities are limited. We will scope out public toilet facilities and ensure they are available for use and make you aware of other local amenities. BART staff are first aid trained and will have first aid kits available on site.
Yes! While some activities take place in remote locations, we can tailor events to suit your team’s needs. Please let us know what your requirements are and we will do our best to ensure everyone can take part.
“Since 2018, many Wessex Water teams have taken part in volunteering days with BART. The Trust always provide a very high quality volunteering activity, whether it is a tree care management or a river/bankside clean-up day with really knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Colleagues feed-back about how much they enjoy volunteering with BART making a tangible difference to the local environment. Thanks to the whole BART team, we look forward to many more volunteer days.”
Jennifer Staton, Wessex Water
“At Kier, we are encouraged to take two volunteering days per year. We were delighted to join BART in Winford for a day where they had strategically planted new trees. Through the day, we cleared vegetation around young trees, hand weeding and checking guards to ensure that each tree had the optimum chance of growth. We learnt so much about why maintenance of young trees is so important, and why they had been planted where they had. We had a fantastic day with Amy and Jacob from BART who were so helpful and answered lots of our questions about river restoration, local wildlife and their tree-planting strategy. Being able to take a day out of the office to work on a local environmental project was hugely rewarding! We would highly recommend taking a corporate volunteering day with BART if you’re looking for an enriching, team building experience.”
