We love being able to give local community groups a hand, especially when they’re doing something to help the river! Our Project Officer Harriet went to get her hands dirty on a litter pick set up by the Frome Fairies, a group of local people who do all they can to keep the River Frome clean and tidy as it runs through Eastville Park in Fishponds, east Bristol.
The Frome Fairies recruited a hardworking group of volunteers who managed to pull so much rubbish out of the river, who knew one river could hide so many tyres!
